The name Muraka comes from the Dhivehi word for coral, the living foundation of the Maldives’ vibrant reefs and marine life. Coral shapes the lagoons, ecosystems, and natural beauty that make the islands so extraordinary.
For me, the name also represents something deeply personal. It reflects a connection between the Maldives, where my roots and love for island life began, and Australia, where new journeys and opportunities continue to grow.
Just as coral forms and connects islands across the ocean, Muraka Travels was created to connect travellers to the true spirit of the Maldives.
